And then I think how futile my search really is. I am looking for permanence where there is none. We all live on active volcanoes, each one totally unaware of what's going on underneath her feet. There have never been answers, and there have only been questions, for those who asked them never had the time to wait for the answers. Life is just a blink.

How do you define permanence personally? You could always be on the move and the state of shifting sands could be permanent to you.
hmmm..a different perspective. I tend to equate the lack of motion to stability.
